Inexpensive Advertising and Scams on the Internet
It is already pretty obvious to us that advertising is a must. Without advertising a product, consumers almost never get to know of new products. “A business without a sign is a sign of no business”. This advertising banner or quotation was seen on large billboards along the roads and on the side or top of buildings. Television and radio would announce, “This program would not be shown or be heard without advertisement”.
Business owners know how important an advertisement is. It is the only way they can tell everybody what they are selling and what services they are offering. They will not have profit generating sales if people don’t notice and buy their products and avail of their services.
However, it is not very pleasant to note that there are other people who try to steal money from advertisers and business owners by offering cheap advertisement packages and not delivering the sold service. Business owners and advertisers must be informed of this because they will otherwise become victims of a scam.
The scam happening in this case is when the advertiser has paid for these different kinds of services but not all of them are even performed. The main point to look at in this case is to whom is the advertiser is dealing with. To avoid being cheated, doing a background check by knowing the following will help.
-past successful projects as proof of customers comments
-a good reputation that must be confirmed by his references, (people who have dealt with him in the past)
The pay-per-click ad campaign is one in which an advertiser pays a certain agreed amount by the search engine developers each time a user clicks on that banner. This was a good idea earlier when it was not yet touched by hackers who developed a certain program to automatically click on that banner and increase the amount to be paid by the advertiser. The next paying scheme was the “pay per action”, which is more difficult to hack because the advertiser would only pay the search engine developers a fixed amount for every sale done on that customer.
One thing you can be sure about is that advertising on the Internet is not easy but it is a lot of fun, especially when one fully understands the power of the Internet. It is not a unidirectional way of advertising like the television or radio, but rather an interactive avenue for both the advertiser and the prospective clients.
